Grant Funding for Mobile Surveillance Cameras: How to Prepare a Bid

More than $600m of grant funding is available to public entities such as law enforcement departments and public safety agencies every year.

The funding is there to supplement the revenue your agencies or departments generate from tax or donations, and can be invested into crime prevention initiatives, including the purchase of mobile surveillance camera equipment

As the USA's leading supplier of rapid deployment pole cameras and mobile surveillance trailers, WCCTV has worked with several agencies to secure grant funding to purchase our equipment.

We can successfully demonstrate how our surveillance cameras enhance community safety by helping to prevent and investigate crime.

In our experience, though, it can be difficult for agencies to navigate through the grant process. Few agencies have grants experts on staff; they can be unsure where to identify and research what opportunities are available and develop a comprehensive bid submission that truly justifies their requirements.

Below, you can download our comprehensive guide to grant writing, in which we outline the key steps you will need to follow when preparing a grant funding bid for surveillance cameras.

WCCTV Grant Funding Case Study - Waxahachie Police Department

Waxahachie Police Department identified a requirement for mobile surveillance trailers after borrowing equipment from neighboring agencies, typically during the holiday season when crimes peaked.

Relying on borrowed equipment had become unstainable, particularly as the agency sought to be more agile and responsive in its approach to crime prevention and public safety.

Waxahachie PD was successful with a $50,000 Justice Assistance grant bid through the North Central Texas Council of Governments to purchase their own mobile video surveillance equipment.
